It takes time to organize. Some experts have suggested that the time it takes you to organize your desk can be more productively spent doing your job-and that organization doesn't save you a large amount of time to begin with. Disorganized people often claim that they know where everything is, and this is often true-and if you're well organized but the paper you need is across the office in your filing cabinet, it may take you just as long to get your hands on it as it would if it were under a pile on your desk.
First, not only is the furniture unique, but how the company got started is unique. It all began in 1999 in a new, start-up internet company. Buying office furniture on a shoe string budget was out of the question, so one of the founders, Brock Brandenberg, decided to design his own. He questioned the people in the office to know what they wanted in a good office desk, and went to work from there. Some of the requirements included a wrap around corner desk with a work surface that you could place both arms on, shelves, holes for computer cables, modesty panels along the bottom, it should be modular and good looking.
